Trump is losing it right now.

Last edited Sun Sep 22, 2019, 12:11 PM - Edit history (1)

Can he say the word great one more time? And now he is blaming his phone
call to the President of Ukraine on Joe Biden and his son too. So now it
was Germany & France's fault that Trump called the Ukraine too? Something
to do with payments. (I couldn't follow Trump's thinking or comments on how
and or why his phone call was linked to France and Germany.)

BTW who really believes that this was Trump's 1st rodeo as per talking to foreign
leaders and asking them to interfere in our elections?

Can he say the word perfect one more time?

The man is out and out batshit crazy .... how much longer will this shit show go on?

But oh, what a spectacle he provides. Isn't that how those Reality TV shows work?

To me, that is the point of this. Sanity is not the real issue. The attention gathering is very pragmatic and practical in a media-driven and owned culture. It strikes at the "lizard brain, evokes intense emotional reactions, enrages, encourages and reinforces divisions, burns people out because their rationality is being bypassed, and meanwhile...

So, it could be considered both apropos and effective if you consider the context of the bigger picture. It is working very well.

Edited to add: The word "Trump" appears twenty-seven times on the Latest Threads page right now.

The Koch bros., the Waltons, the Google kings, Gates all the filthy rich capitalist kings need Traitor Trump to get their destructive policies passed.....or at least Not pass the sane legislation.

You have to be an idiot or a psychopath to think feeding more of our national wealth to the already filthy rich is a good idea. You have to be insane to squash all possible environmental protections. You have to be a crazy traitor to side with murderers and thugs.

Capitalism created Trump. He is the embodiment of our economic system. He was predicted by Karl Marx.

To stop getting f*cking bat sh*t crazy presidents, (W. Nixon, Cheney and now Trump) we have to change our economic system.

It really, in my opinion, boils down to an essential factor that is beyond right and left, (which are more symptomatic in this sense).

This is about one major factor that is now going critical: Oligarchy vs. Democracy. You can add or substitute many words for Oligarchy, but the emphasis is on the Military-Industrial-Complex. That's the underlying, driving force. It never went away, but it certainly is able to function without much attention paid by its media outlets and various tentacles.

And when people know this, that is a form of remedy for the disease, so to speak.

When the tactic is understood, (and it should be getting rather obvious now) then it has less negative impact.

Actually, upon further inspection, you can find that the idea of the Spectacle started in the late 20s and Bernays was a pioneer in it. It has more than one aspect to it. You find illustrations of it from Marshall McLuhan, Baudrillard, and Chomsky, as well as others. It is not some new idea at all and there is valuable insight to be gained from understanding the prevalence of it, (our immersion).

* Pence is supposed to have met with the Ukrainian leadership in Poland to talk about

Half of them are OK with this shit, the other half are scared shitless their base will turn on them if they make waves. Mark me down as saying....when all this plays out in the next 2 to 3 years, the Republican party as we know it will cease to exist. It will either fracture like the Whigs or become a regional party, meaningless in national politics. They've sealed their own doom.

I do believe they'll suffer a humiliating defeat next November, the likes of which they haven't seen in quite some time. When they sift through the ashes those who caused the defeat will be thrown out and those who are left will reshape a new party. This has happened many times before in both parties. It's how we evolve as time goes by.
I remember after Watergate everyone was predicting the death of the republican party. The very next election they only narrowly lost the presidency and came back to win in a landslide the next time with Reagan.
The republican party is not going away.

And at this confab, they'll conclude that the reason that they lost was that they weren't conservative enough.

That's how it always works. They don't have bad ideas - indeed, their ideas are the only ideas.

The problem is that their policies were executed with insufficient faith and vigor.

They didn't cut taxes enough. They didn't deregulate enough. They didn't pollute enough. They didn't punish poor, black and brown people enough. They didn't hate women enough.

in their present form. Read my words. Words matter.

This is not Watergate. Goldwater and others stepped up for the good of the country and their party in telling Nixon to go. You will not find that in this Republican party. They either like what's going on or have no stomach for rocking the boat for fear of their cushy jobs.

cage voters at polling places, and on and on. It's because they're losing demographically and generational and they're very well aware of that. Beto O'Rourke damn near won a senate seat from Texas. Fucking Texas. AZ could very well end up with 2 Democratic senators....in my freaking lifetime. It took election manipulation like we've never seen for a Republican to win the governor's chair in freaking Georgia. The pendulum is swinging and Republicans can't swing with it. They'd lose what old racist base they still have. Their entire agenda has been based on racism and fear since '68.

Now....that said. Where the fucking hell did I type "do nothing"? Where exactly?

"Powerful wall", "perfect idea", "beautiful conversation", and "clean coal". It seems he picks words at random, showing a limited vocabulary. Once he latches on to a descriptor he uses it over and over in the paragraph. ie: Trump is an astonishing idiot. The things he says are astonishingly stupid and I'm astonished he's still in office.

Hell, he even congratulated Poland on the Nazi and Soviet invasion to start WW II

He has a limited vocabulary of words like "great" and "tremendous" he repeats over and over in every speech when trying to talk about things he is ignorant about and doesn't understand. He is not a very learned man, too lazy to read or study, and I am sure his father probably paid off his college professors to give him passing grades for doing nothing in the classroom, the same way he has done nothing as president and has Barr and McConnell covering for him. His level of ignorance and stupidity is on display in neon lights every time he talks. Part of his legacy will include being known as the stupidest president.
