Trump is under no legal obligation to release the hits call transcript. So of course, that is what reporters are asking him about.

The Administration is in violation of the law in not transmitting the whistleblower's report - which would have the same info - to Congress.

2. It reminds me a little bit of when Dems made a huge deal about needing to see

the unredacted Mueller Report, given that redactions were light and that Trump's crimes were blatantly on display in the redacted version. It just seemed at the time like they had plenty else to focus on and stood to lose that battle. Instead of talking about the dynamite they had, they shifted the focus to something they were unlikely to get and would have probably been disappointing.

We must choose our battles wisely.
