Why are.you running that "survey" ad from the NRA? Is DU so in need that they are now accepting dollars from that group?

(25,848 posts)I do know that every so often my computer decides to log me off DU, and I notice the ads immediately and log back in. Annoying, but fixable.

(31,261 posts)Maybe if the OP posts a lot about guns, he or she sees NRA ads. But as you pointed out, the problem is fixable by having a star membership and logging on.

They have no control over which ads are shown, I believe.
And I think if you stay logged in, you'll never see them. That's been my experience, anyway.

(3,623 posts)Were it not for the ads, I would have never discovered that one weird tip for getting rid of my belly fat. Nor would I have braced myself properly when viewing Kate Jackson of Charlie's Angels after all these years. Live and learn, as grandad used to say.
