Please bear with me. Let's look at a few presidential scandals that MIGHT happen in the future.

Hypothetical scandal #1: The President cheats on his wife.

Is this scandal worse than what Trump did?

Hypothetical scandal #2: The President uses the power of his office to ensure that his daughter's company gets a favorable deal from a foreign government.

Is this scandal worse than what Trump did?

Hypothetical scandal #3: The President is implicated in a crime, fires the Attorney-General and replaces him, and all allegations are dropped.

Is this scandal worse than what Trump did?

Hypothetical scandal #4: Internal bank-documents accuse the President of being a possible tax-cheat. He declares that he won't show his tax-returns for some reason or other.

Is this scandal worse than what Trump did?

Hypothetical scandal #5: Religious extremists bomb an abortion-clinic. People die. The President declares that there are very fine people on both sides.

Is this scandal worse than what Trump did?

Hypothetical scandal #6: The President owns stakes in a software-company. The DoD somehow adopts a software from his company into their administration, at inflated prices, and somehow nobody knows who okayed that.

Is this scandal worse than what Trump did?

Hypothetical scandal #7: A foreign hacker-community whose dedicated goal is the downfall of, as they describe it, "the evil US empire" attacks and smears an organization situated in the US and consisting of US citizens. The President declares that he loves these hackers.

Is this scandal worse than what Trump did?

Hypothetical scandal #8: Whatsapp DMs reveal that these hackers were in negotiations with the President's son to establish a business-relationship with him.

Is this scandal worse than what Trump did?

Hypothetical scandal #9: A peace-deal has been negotiated for Syria. It's not perfect, but it reflects the interests of the syrian government, of Russia, Iran, Israel, Saudi-Arabia and the US. The President decides that the US need not uphold their end of the bargain and unilaterally takes actions that break the peace-deal.

Is this scandal worse than what Trump did?

Hypothetical scandal #10: The President is being accused of improper relationships with China. His company has had business-dealings with China, he is friends with chinese oligarchs, he refuses to execute US laws passed by congress that would punish China for industrial espionage, one of his aides used to work as a lobbyist for China, two other of his closest aides and his son have had secret meetings with three different secret agents of the chinese government and there are uncorroborated rumors that the President is being blackmailed by China for sexually deviant practices.

are "normal". They have been done with no consequences, so they are standard practices apparently*.

* Standard if a Republican does them, everyone knows that a Democrat could never, ever do even one of these things without removal from office.
