https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/21/us/politics/biden-ukraine-whistleblower-complaint.htmlNo evidence has surfaced to support Mr. Trumps claim that the former vice president intentionally tried to help his son by pressing for the prosecutor generals dismissal. But some State Department officials had expressed concern that Hunter Bidens work in Ukraine could complicate his fathers diplomacy there.
The issue strikes a particular nerve for Mr. Biden, who has long feared putting his family under the harsh spotlight of a presidential campaign. During a two-minute encounter with reporters on Saturday morning, he grew irate, angrily insisting that he had never spoken with his son about any overseas work.

It wasn't just Joe Biden who pressed for the dismissal of Prosecutor-General Viktor Shokin.
- The ukrainian people called for his dismissal. Viktor Shokin was publicly known to be corrupt and there were protests in Ukraine calling for his ouster.

- The US government was calling for his dismissal.
- Several other western nations were calling for his dismissal.
- The IMF was calling for his dismissal.

From 2016
The United States and other Western nations had for months called for the ousting of Mr. Shokin, who was widely criticized for turning a blind eye to corrupt practices and for defending the interests of a venal and entrenched elite. He was one of several political figures in Kiev whom reformers and Western diplomats saw as a worrying indicator of a return to past corrupt practices, two years after a revolution that was supposed to put a stop to self-dealing by those in power.
As the problems festered, Kiev drew increasingly sharp criticism from Western diplomats and leaders. In a visit in December, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. said corruption was eating Ukraine like a cancer. Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund, which props up Ukraine financially, said last month that progress was so slow in fighting corruption that its hard to see how the I.M.F.-supported program can continue.

Joe Biden called for Shokin's dismissal ON BEHALF OF THE US GOVERNMENT.
BECAUSE HE WAS THE FUCKING VICE-PRESIDENT AT THE TIME.
THE NYT HAD ALREADY REPORTED THAT!!!!!!!
3 YEARS AFTER REPORTING IT, NOW THE NYT SAYS WE SHOULD WAIT FOR EVIDENCE?
