The bizarre truth about the life of Trump and my crazy theory of what's behind it.

Trump has been the same asshole his entire life. He has repeated the same patterns, same crimes his entire life and never paid a big price for it. The question is why?

Trump is very conniving and at the same time very stupid.

He is the worst liar I have ever seen, he really sucks at it.

He is the worst con man I have ever seen. He is the Keystone Cops of con men.

He is the worst criminal I have ever seen. He gets caught all the time.

He is the most vengeful person I have ever seen. Yet people are drawn to him.

He is a rotten human being. Yet people are drawn to him

All of the above has been right out in the open for everyone to see and yet Trump gets away with all of it. Why?

I believe people, bad people, people with an agenda, greedy people see all of the above and recognize an opportunity to get what they want by befriending Trump and protecting Trump. Throughout Trumps entire life people have risked everything in order to protect all of the above because it benefits them. Many of them do not like Trump, they like the fact they can use Trump to get what they want. Many Trump voters do not like Trump. They support and protect him because they can use Trump to get something they want.

As we all watch Trump bumble and stumble trying to be a con man, the real con job is all the people conning and protecting Trump.

With great Irony, one of the worst con men in history is actually one of the easiest people on the planet to con. All you have to do is praise Trump and he will put you in charge of the Justice Department or any Government agency.

Trump is a creation of all of the above.

who have less to gain from Trump have let him get away with crimes for thirty or forty years. Where was the IRS? Where was the Securities and Exchange Commission? I do accept that people who hate him would support him for personal gain, but it's incredible to me that he could commit financial crimes with utter impunity and not get caught by LAW ENFORCEMENT.

Why does Rudy love and protect Trump like a madman? Rudy was a prosecutor and the mayor of New York City. What was he doing all those years Trump was committing crimes?

I don't know much about that relationship prior to the last few years. Thanks for pointing that out.

I get that he's an easily-conned con man and that many people realize this and use him, but I don't get the fanatical adoration of the MAGAts. He makes no secret of the fact that he has the moral compass of a rabid jackal; he's crude and mean and nasty and incoherent and he's not even attractive to look at, but they love him. Maybe it's because he hates the same people they hate and he's given them permission to say so.

The narcissism, which makes him appear to have unlimited confidence and zero self-doubt, really appeals to some people. It reminds them of the way their parents appeared to them when they were children: all-knowing, all-capable, and all-powerful. It makes them feel comfortable and safe. So they regress back to their child selves, to a time when things were black and white, when there was a dangerous world out there, and when their parents ensured they were safe. They didn't question their parents, so they don't question Trump. And anyone who suggests their parent is not all-perfect and does not love them makes them feel deeply threatened. That's my take on it as someone who grew up with a narcissistic parent.

Trump is an enabler, and an enabler in high office. He sets the example - racist, misogynist, corrupt and selfish people follow him without second thoughts or regret (until he screws them over that is).

However there are a lot of people who are drawn to him who THINK they are going to get something from him, yet they get nothing but abuse, manipulation and permanent damage to their reputations. Unfortunately, too many of them continue to stick around long after it's clear that he will never benefit them in any way.

he's not painting an illusion, he's painting an alternate reality.

yes, of course what he says are knowing falsehoods, to technically they are indeed lies, but that's not the point.

he's not trying to actually deceive anyone. the fact that his lies are obvious is a feature, not a bug.

to deceive is saying "facts matter, but your facts are wrong, my facts are right," when of course you're substituting false "facts" for truthful facts.

but what donnie is doing is saying, "we reject those facts entirely because they don't suit us. we're going with this fiction instead."

this is how he gets away with it, because the whole republican party plays follow the leader and say, yes, we're going with those talking points instead of the truth. they're not really "deceived", the simply don't care about the truthful version of events, they only care about the "officlal" story as told by donnie.

they've been trained to believe that to do otherwise is to show disloyalty to donnie and to america.

the fact that it's obviously false *helps* donnie and republicans because it makes it clear who's on his side and who isn't. if you're not part of the cult, you say "that's false". if you are part of the cult, the thought that it's false doesn't enter your mind because it's not relevant.

so it helps prove loyalty and help cult members identify who is and who isn't in the cult.

Since he has a solid core of people who believe every single thing he says. Also, the way he constructs his lies makes it hard to find the thread to pull that will unravel them convincingly.

I agree that virtually everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie - but the worst liar in the world, especially one who lies that frequently, would have no one who believes him.

Unfortunately, there are those who are drawn to Trump precisely because of his many flaws and shortcomings. People can be perverse.
