It's just Trump trying to get around the whistleblower complaint -- that is what we really need!

I have zero faith in this White House. Less than zero.

Trump might propose that Senator John Stennis review and summarize the transcript of the tape.

And it kind of looks like we have to go through the courts to see either complaint or any sort of transcripts/records. Chances are pretty good that these communications are "privileged."

looking for any sort of up side -- you HAVE to figure that the intelligence and security community is super pissed off about this whole incident -- kind of like the staff at NOAA and the National Weather Service, saying, "Fu** THIS Sh*t"

In order to negate privilege, you have to establish crime. It becomes a kind of chicken and egg thing. Now if you can establish criminal behavior coming from a different angle (without the complaint or transcript) -- then you might be able to open that door. Otherwise the argument doesn't do you much good.
(oh, and hopefully before we get off in the weeds -- we would be talking about THIS incident and potential criminality -- not a laundry list of all our previous grievances.)

wasn't specifying you at all. (and I make little or no attempt to keep track of individual members, or my interactions with them. ditto on the what happened yesterday comment.) just an attempt to keep discussion centered on what I thought the relevant issue was.
