The Virtues that make for a GREAT Leader.....

During the 2nd Century, Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius wrote in his book....MEDITATIONS, about the 4 chief virtues of a great leader that he strove to live and govern by.. Wisdom, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance.

In the current climate we are living in as a Republic with democratic values and principles, we are facing the true test of those virtues that the previous 44 Presidents of The United States possessed and governed by, at times failing in the process..

WISDOM: the virtue of learning from previous mistakes made and making better decisions in the future.

JUSTICE: the virtue of following and respecting the rule of law, and the dispensing of Justice where meritted.

FORTITUDE: the virtue of having the vision to carry out the will of the people, to follow through on the pledges made to improve the lives of people through personal example.

TEMPERANCE: the virtue of behavior worthy of edification and emulation to advance the principles and values that govern human nature.

As it turns out, The 45th President of the United States appears to possess NONE of those virtues as we as a Nation descend into a Dictatorship. We as citizens of this great Republic, for which it stands, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all......MUST take up the mantle of leadership and decide what kind of country we want to be.

Thats great, it sounds good. Patriotic. Romantic.

But what we have ahead of us is a lot of hard work and difficulty. Nothing pretty or romantic Things must change fundamentally. At the core. Not just in "who" we elect but "how" we elect. We have to quit being led around on the leash of the news media.
