Has the goalpost changed from getting the FULL whistleblower report to just a phone call transcript?

If so, how and why? If anything, we need both. I want to know what the whistleblower stated because his/her complaint could involve a completely different incident.

Sure, we can get the phone call transcript too, but I think that's the ground that trump prefers to operate in because the full extent of his corruption may not have been included in that one phone call. If we loudly insist on the transcript and the transcript doesn't contain all of his crimes, then what?

Supposedly, on Thursday, the acting Chief of the DNI will testify and if he won't hand over the entire complaint there should be no serious option but to order him to do so and criminally penalize him for not doing so. In fact, Chairman Schiff or Nadler (whomever is chairing this meeting) should hopefully be trying to get some kind of Writ of Mandamus to force him to disgorge the complaint. I won't settle for a transcript from this White House.

There needs to be actual enforcement. I don't think Americans will settle for anything less.

6. Legally, we can't get it. It goes directly to Congressional committees and is classified...

However, it did not go directly to Congress due to interference by the White House. Since this has never happened before, we are in entirely new territory.

We may see the whistleblower him or herself put the docs out. We may see leaks from other sources.

Best of all, we may see an actual impeachment hearing begin so the House has more subpoena power. Even if an impeachment does not happen, seeing the Lewandowskis and Giulianis frog marched into that little Capitol jail would be a wakeup.

Trump has gotten away with everything so far largely because no one really knows what to do with the bull in the china closet. Lewandowski in chains would be a teachable moment, and impeachment hearings against Barr would be another.

12. Legally, the whistleblower complaint needs to go to Congress. No transcript should substitute

I'm not sure what the remedy is, but whoever is holding it up is very definitely breaking the law.

Getting back to my delight should the frog marching of certain Trumpons to that Capitol lockup happen.

10. No. The whistleblower report is REQUIRED to be released by law.

They haven't given up on getting it. May take a court ruling and that will take time.

That's why he's muddying the waters right now.
