No one in the intelligence community could believe the Russians were well on their way to developing an atomic bomb...much less putting a satellite into space. Too many fell for the "they are just backwards Slobs...I mean Slavs (chuckles)".
And here we are today, with a "President" that was hand picked by Putin....who was also hand picked by our intelligence community and obviously backfired.*cough*Iran*cough*
