My republican senator's response to my email about impeachment

So I've been writing to all 3 of my reps. My democratic congressman, Hank Johnson, never responds. Period. My rethug senators have responded each time, with canned sounding responses.

Regarding my impeachment email earlier this year, Isakson's response contained a lot of spin about how Mueller's report cleared tRump. However, Perdue's response was interesting and gives a little insight into what the narrative might become, both in the near future and in history books.

Thank you for contacting me with your thoughts concerning the impeachment process for government officials in the United States. I always appreciate the opportunity to hear from my fellow Georgians.

Impeachment, as defined under the Constitution, provides a mechanism for the removal of the President, Vice President, members of the Judiciary, or other civil officers of the United States who are found to have engaged in "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."

The Constitution places the authority to determine whether to impeach solely with the House of Representatives. Once the House has voted to impeach, it is then the responsibility of the Senate to sit in judgment on those grounds of impeachment. A conviction must be supported by a two-thirds majority of Senators. I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind if an impeachment trial comes before the United States Senate.

Again, thank you for taking the time to share your opinions on this important issue. Should you have any more questions regarding the impeachment process, I recommend contacting your Representative in the House. If I can be of further assistance to you, please do not hesitate to let me know.

I often hear people say that the Senate won't convict. Well guess what? The Senate has zero obligation to do anything until the House makes its move.

to act as a check on the president AND to fulfill the oath they all took when they were sworn in. Every Republican senator has been betraying this oath for a very long time, before Trump and now with Trump to keep power. They are intensely corrupt and an inimical danger to democracy.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

I'd want my corrupt GA senators to contact the house leadership to arrange proceeding with removal of Trump from office, including joint fast-tracked investigations if needed. To drop lawsuits intended only to block and corrupt the processes they're betraying? To move to indict, prosecute, impeach, remove a bunch of others, such as Barr.

Good for you for contacting yours. My husband does most of that for us in this house. We sign each other up for petitions as we come on them.
