They need more facts to say whether its OK for the president to solicit dirt from a foreign government against his political opponent.
By Igor Bobic and Arthur Delaney
WASHINGTON ― Republican U.S. Senators didnt have a lot of substantive things to say Monday about the news that President Donald Trump apparently asked the head of a foreign government to investigate one of his top 2020 rivals.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) sought to shape the partys message early in the day when he lamented that Democrats had decided to politicize an allegation that the president may be corrupting U.S. foreign policy to help himself win an election ― itself a political act.
Although we dont know the substance of the allegations, there is speculation that it relates to our relationship with Ukraine, McConnell said in a speech on the floor, without addressing Trumps conduct laid out in the complaint.
Like McConnell, most GOP senators pointedly avoided criticizing Trump on Monday, maintaining they could not comment without more facts about the matter. Some downplayed the story entirely.

Put the spotlight on THEM. They're the Pro-Russian party of America. Make them defend lawlessness.

Fine they (GOP senators) can join us and ask for the transcript of Trump's call to the Ukrainian President,
the whistleblowers notes and letters, and while they are they can release ALL OF THE MUELLER REPORT
TOO.
