Thank you for posting this.

I did not watch the returns that night. I went to bed fairly early, although the disturbing news right before I retired was that Hillary had lost one of the states she'd been expected to win.

When my radio went off at about ten to six mountain time, tuned to the BBC, I at first thought I was somehow in an alternate universe, because what the BBC guys were saying made it sound as if Trump had one. Then, at 6pm, it was Amy Goodman and Democracy Now. Yes, I was in an alternate Universe.

I'm still hoping I can somehow find my way back to the real one.

There was a curious acceptance of what he had to say in the room. I can understand how the passengers of the Titanic must have felt just after they hit the iceberg. We have yet to break in half and slip under water but it feels close.

He went on to say something else that was enlightening.

He said that Putin's use of Trump was limited to how long he was useful for him. When the time came that he was no longer useful, he would turn on him and cause further chaos and internal turmoil in the US.

Been trudging for 3 years trying to erase the memory of that night. Light is just becoming visible at the end of the tunnel. Too soon for me to revisit that feeling.

has seen it all. He’s foretelling a mountain of chaos and trouble. Nobody could have imagined it would be like this. Veteran world observers like Engel could see it coming.
