Election 2019: Early voting has begun in New Jersey

Early voting for the 2019 general election in New Jersey has begun.

County clerks began mailing ballots for the November 5 election today, which could mean that some votes have already been cast in Gov. Phil Murphy’s mid-term election.

All 80 State Assembly seats are up this year, along with a special election for State Senate in the 1st district, where interim State Sen. Robert Andrzejczak (D-Middle) is seeking the unexpired term of Jeff Van Drew (D-Dennis). Van Drew resigned in January to take his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
