I don't think the Congress will go straight into Articles of Impeachment?

I think they will vote to have an official, full House, impeachment investigation.

I think that is the way they will need to go.

When will they file Articles of Impeachment? When the evidence is in order and when there is some bi-partisan support from the Republicans.

It could be a long investigation.

But they could expose a lot of stuff about Donald Trump and the Republicans during that time frame.

They've done everything by the book so far, I don't see any reason they wouldn't continue. bearsfootball516 Sep 2019 #1
I suspect that will be the case. kentuck Sep 2019 #3

The next logical step is a formal impeachment inquiry. I expect that's what will be declared after the 4PM meeting today.

The important thing to remember is that once they have 218 votes for an impeachment inquiry, they also have 218 votes to file Articles of Impeachment. That will get their attention. Bet on it.

I think if the republicans decide to join in, the thing could go real fast.

They could manage to stay clean, if they all join in at once in the House. A precise, surgical strike.

They have to be looking for a way to stay clean.

Keep the attention on the president and his cronies. It’s a shot. I think a fast takedown is their only chance.

Otherwise, they’re screwed.

They'll subpoena witnesses too, whether or not these people show up who knows but if they don't then lock them up.

It's going to get intense, and just like Watergate, I'm convinced that when the actual vote occurs, a vast majority of Americans will be on board and the House will impeach.

Then - what will the Senate do? We may be surprised.
