(14,998 posts)This is HUGE! We don't want to see the stupid transcript. With Sharpie in hand, that can be altered. But testimony from the whistle blower? That would be big news.

(14,998 posts)And from what I understand, there's more in this whistle blower complaint than just one phone call. To whom did The Orange One make a "promise"? Was this connected to his requesting a list of the spies we had placed in the Kremlin?
It's all coming out now! YIPPEEEE!

(4,339 posts)consequences of impeachment for machievellian Pence as both the re-enforcer of the extortion of threat. There's no way he should EVER acquire the Office of the President. I'd also like DT's other messengers and obstructors removed and dis-Barred, tried, and jailed, and any future benefits of their offices forfeited, for their parts, all possible though probably not probable, if both are removed.
Transcript? Bleh: "But if I really say it; the radio won't play it; unless I lay it between the lines..."
Nevermind all that: He sent and encouraged his ring-kissing goons!
And they have obstructed and disrupted the business and oversight in the co-equal branches of American government, corrupted by GOP members drunk on dreams of power and corporate money.
How can that possibly be reflective of their oaths to uphold the Constitutional rule of law and values??? How?

(220 posts)Extorting a foreign power to help Trump win an election has been "normalized" by Trump. I don't think that the corrupt act that we know of would be considered a "urgent concern" by the Inspector General.
There has to be more in that whistle blower report than just a phone call by Trump. The news today that the Whistle blower has contacted the Intelligence Committee saying he/she wants to testify. Hopefully he/she will answer questions about other abuses of power by Trump.
If the rumors about Trump wanting a list of undercover US agents in Russia are true and that comes out in the upcoming hearings it may be evidence of Trump committing treason. If he were convicted of treason the penalty for treason is "is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000;"

(110,950 posts)Since he has already broken the law by not sending the complaint to the Intel Committee as required by law.
He already has an obstruction of justice charge against him. How much more is he willing to gamble for Donald Trump??

l wonder if they'll try to disguise the WB like they sometimes do when getting testimony from intel agents.

(23,242 posts)The whistleblower is probably sick and tired of the MF lying about the Ukraine phone call and the MSM lapping it up without question. Stay safe patriot whistleblower.

(75 posts)Isn't that the same guy who illegally blocked the testimony to Congress in the first place?
reACTIONary
(5,749 posts)... the agency head is supposed to pass the complaint to congress AND inform the whistle blower that s/he can contact congress and how to do it. So this request is something of a strategic dare. They are staying within the bounds of the law and daring the director to, once again, step outside of the bounds. Sort of like opening the ports on a listing ship.

(32,356 posts)The whistleblower is obviously a patriot, and he or she sees no benefit in saving Chump's butt. If the whistleblower has already left government employment, that's all the better!
I just hope they are careful to preserve anonymity to protect the person. Otherwise nobody will ever stick their neck out again for this whistleblower program.

If this scenario is true, there may be another set of tapes besides the ones recorded by the White House.
Getting them could prove to be difficult though, as I'm sure that any House Judiciary Committee subpoena would be refused by the White House under the guise of 'executive privilege'.
