The GOP should cut their bait in the Senate and convict
First off... because he's guilty.......... not that that makes a damn bit of difference to them....
but also because... this is going to be ugly. drumpf is guilty and everyone in Washington knows Pelosi isn't going to go all in with her chips just because the people standing over her shoulder told her to. She is going all in if she knows she can win, and right now the tea leaves are telling her the GOP will be CRUSHED next November if they save drumpf. (They have to be, or she wouldn't have made this move now).
drumpf's base will literally kill for him (and they have) but honestly all the GOP has to do is roll out the next racist dirtbag and they will all fall right back in line and vote for that person. So cut your bait, convict drumpf, have a spirited primary for 2020, and send up the next person willing to toss red meat to the deplorables.
that's what they should do
but they won't.
