(102,269 posts)It really has overtaken NYT as the Nation's newspaper, IMO. They make their share of mistakes too, but not so consistently as "the grey lady" in recent years...

(42,770 posts)forward with it all.. transcript and complaint with strategy that it's not that bad and they can spin it and Dems may have overstepped? That's what I got out of it anyway.

(4,981 posts)Its nuts thinking of all thats occurred to get to this point. And just today, from Speaker Pelosis appearance at the Atlantic festival to her epic press conference...has been quite the day!
I recommend catching her talk today if you havent seen it. For me, it added an extra spark to her time at the podium.
Gotta take it all in when we can!

I feel like we helped to pay for this to finally happen.

(20,629 posts)taking away their food stamp eligibility can almost stand alone in my mind as far as a justification for impeachment.

(6,591 posts)Of course the House (Judiciary) actually opened an impeachment inquiry at least 6 weeks ago, but it's good to see the media finally catch up.
I'll take it!!!

(32,676 posts)I was looking at a garage sale find I found last Friday. A framed front page of the New York Herald from April 15, 1865. It held the details of a President's death a few days earlier. Very historic day in America. Saw this and my first thought was to get a copy and frame this copy of the Washington Post.

(19,240 posts)WaPo broke the whistleblower story. Who was their source? Can't say. But the WaPo's number one source is the Pentagon and the Pentagon had to be pretty pissed that Trump and Putin were trying to lure the US into a quagmire war with Iran in order to deflect attention from this scandal which has been brewing since late July.
