as he would unfettered. Of course he will still continue to destroy the country since that seems to be his goal (and Putin's). He could even destroy it with more passion once he sees himself slipping down in the polls, sort of like his swan song. We all know he has no love for this country.

...are all freshmen from districts won by Trump -- but they are also veterans with intelligence backgrounds who understand the oaths they took to protect the country and the US Constitution. When they could not take it any more and stepped forward to put their own political careers on the line, Mme Speaker knew she had the critical mass to move on this.

The senators probably already know who the low hanging fruit would be: in a gerrymandered district where the go vote wouldn't threaten the senator. Deals are probably being made, quietly. If mcturtle were smart. He'd use this to chuck frump and save his party. Promise a cushy trustee job or two to get a sacrifice and get past it.

is that even the House Democrats didn't impeach him. That is, assuming eventually they do so.

And in the meantime it will help them in their Court battles to get documents.

If Republicans want to risk attaching themselves to Trump and refusing to do what is right, so be it. I don't think he is going to gain many new supporters out of this.
