Let's not get distracted over what Biden's son did or did not do.

1) It's irrelevant to the key issues of obstruction of Congress and asking a foreign government to interfere in U.S. election,

2) Jared's and Ivanka's overseas deals are likely much worse than anything Hunter Biden did, especially Jared and Mr. Bone Saw and Netanyahu.

3) Don't forget how strong the Democratic bench is. If Biden's son's business dealings are a problem, we can always go with one of the other fine Democratic candidates.

they should be told that even if Trump thought Biden's son may have done something improper, extortion of a foreign leader is not the appropriate way to seek information.

We have the Justice Department, FBI etc. that can investigate any allegations of wrongdoing, and of course Biden's son was previously cleared of wrongdoing by a Ukranian investigation. That is the proper channel -- not secret extortion attempts in a phone call to a foreign president.

But we all know Trump doesn't give a rat's ass about corruption -- just look at his own family. So he was clearly looking to tar his political opponent, and extort a foreign leader to make that happen.

4. I would not stop supporting Biden over his son's business dealings. In any case, no evidence

anything amiss there and Biden did not use his office to cover up for his son, which would be the only thing I would care about. So don’t move so fast. Again and again these anti-Biden stories have been debunked.

And fine candidates yeah, but none with Biden’s experience, knowledge, or all around job-specific
qualifications, none so tested, none so broadly appealing, none so likely to beat Trump.

5. Emmaverybo, you're right to be proud of Biden, Sr.

Problem is most of us know nothing about his son's activities in the Ukraine.

Given the scurrilous nature of today's "kompromat" politics, you can expect that every business, ethical, and sexual scandal that can be discovered or fabricated against Biden's son during that time will come out. I hope we (you and I and Biden Sr.) don't become distracted by that. I suspect Joe's every instinct will be to defend his son -- I respect him for that, but don't overdo it, Joe.

morally offensive behavior AND Joe feels moved to protect him, this, or even guilt by association given possible moral turpitude, could dog his candidacy.

A new thread, though, links to research that shows Biden as doing the opposite of what he’s been
unfairly accused of in regard to the company his son was on the board of, taking action that would risk exposing any company corruption and thus tarnish Hunter Biden.

telling reporters at the airport (paraphrasing) "You shouldn't be investigating me, you should be looking at the millions Hunter Biden walked away with from the Ukraine and from China!"

Until after the election, I don't care at all what Hunter Biden did. Let's not engage on the subject of Biden/Ukraine.
