What do you want the scope of the impeachment inquiry to be?

Should Democrats limit the scope of the investigation to just the Ukraine scandal, as several pundits have suggested?

Personally, I want EVERYTHING on the table. Let the members vote on each crime/abuse. It shouldn't take long to complete. Just include what's already known about the crimes and abuses in question.

Including everything won't necessarily change the outcome of the vote, but for the sake of history, I think we should be clear that none of his crimes are OK.

2. My thoughts

Investigate everything but keep a fairly high bar for what gets included in the Articles of Impeachment.

Too much information can be a bad thing. Keep it limited to the obvious and easy to prove. The rest can be put into reports.

Don't get me wrong, he deserves to answer for all of it. However, I have a cynical view of the attention span of the American Electorate.

6. All of it. Don't forget, Watergate wasn't just about Watergate.

Initially it was about wiretapping the DNC and then breaking into DNC headquarters to steal information when the wiretaps didn't work, but then it included instructing the CIA to impede the investigation of the break-in (the "smoking gun" tape), breaking into Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrist's office and other politically-motivated spying, laundering campaign money that was used to pay the burglars, and the subsequent attempts to cover it all up. Trump has done even more, and worse. Throw the book at him.

7. This impeachment inquiry needs to be global

Time is short, if the Democrats try to bring all of Trumps crimes to bear it will run well into the election year. That will not work. The American people will lose interest if this drags on too long. They Democrats must move quickly, narrow their focus and hit hard.

From the Ukraine scandal alone Trump has committed multiple High Crimes which the Democrats could use to bring forth multiple Articles of Impeachment. I believe they could do this before the end of the year. It is their duty to show, educate the people about what Trump has done. This should be done now and with great force. If they drag it out and the election season picks up, the people will turn their attention to the election.

9. I think the vote should be next summer, after our nominee

is selected. If the Senate acquits trump, people will remember and they will be held accountable as well.
