These people are so damn stupid !!
Impeachable doesn't mean illegal !!
Red Don is looking at the illegality of actions vs impeachable offenses so to ... HIM ... as long as its not illegal he can do it.
The illegal act is keeping the whistle blower complaint, that was seen as credible by Trumps own IG, from reaching congress.
The IMPEACHABLE act is soliciting Ukraine to investigate a potential political opponent !!
I'm seeing this on mixed aisle forums that there's no spin from MAGA Land on this issue other than "see ... nothing illegal" in the transcript but make excuses about Barr's pretzel logic on who's a WB.
Anyone look into FAUX News coverage?

(492 posts)Both acts are illegal but even if the Ukraine story has flaws, ala GWB's service records, the illegal act still happened, the attempt to keep/hide the report from Congress.
Either one SHOULD be a problem. But as always with this admin. we have to wait and see.

(82,849 posts)Remember the Mueller Report? Mueller didn't bring any charges because he was working under the constraint that a sitting president can't be indicted, that accusing the president of a crime is the sole purview of the House. Mueller, however, did say, "If we had confidence the President did not commit a crime, we would have said so." And they didn't say so. If the impeachment inquiry goes no further than the subjects covered in the Mueller report, there will be crimes a-plenty that have nothing to do with Trump's attempt to use his office for personal political gain.

(5,491 posts)If they won't convict then they will have to own this during their reelection campaign. I bet a lot of Senators start retiring.
