(3,471 posts)Trump team baffled by White House light switches
The people who want to build a wall between the United States and Mexico can't figure out how to turn on the lights at the White House, according to the New York Times.
"Aides confer in the dark because they cannot figure out how to operate the light switches in the cabinet room," the Times reported Sunday. "Visitors conclude their meetings and then wander around, testing doorknobs until finding one that leads to an exit."...

(12,712 posts)If the talking points I just read are what we are referring to, then the use of the word myths is a tactic designed for believers and the base. It was not applicable at all and I think that is problematic in itself.
That knee-jerk and idiotic wording they used should be embarrassing. Rush and hurry?
The allegations we are talking about here have a factual basis.

I don't normally comment on appearances, but for this I would make an exception. If I had more computer abilities I would Photoshop all of the republicans as borg. It was the first thing that came into my mind when I read this.
Perhaps there is someone who would be so kind as to provide a picture of the borg for those who are not enlightened?
Spoiler: the borg lost.

(128,795 posts)and then attempt the (largely failed) effort to "recall" it. I think I had only seen a "recall" function actually work just a few times out of what had to have been hundreds of "oops" emails that had been sent out over the years. But even worse would be the idiotic someone who would reply-all saying they weren't supposed to be the recipient, leading to more "reply-alls" telling everyone to stop "replying to all"... leading to the descent into reply-alls yelling at other reply-alls to stop the reply-all, resulting in email avalanche hell.
pangaia
(24,324 posts)BumRushDaShow
(128,795 posts)And you got this right--->
I remember one time when it was something accidentally sent Department-wide (all agencies) so literally sent to tens of thousands of people on the list, resulting in who knows how many reply-alls insisting on replying-to-all to ask why they got the message....and that went on for almost an hour before I think agencies started temporarily shutting off their mail systems to halt it...
And for people who were near their email quotas, all the reply-all crap took them over the top so then they couldn't get any legit email until they went in and deleted all the reply-all stuff.

Talk about reply all !
Bunch of old dummies (I'm 75 so I can say that),, EVERY TIME anybody replies to an email from ANYBODY, they hit REPLY-ALL!!
BumRushDaShow
(128,795 posts)Maybe used to sending to the same couple people all the time so hitting that reply-all is automatic.

(25,841 posts)it was someone who simply sent the email to the wrong group. People out in the so-called real world do that all the time. Maybe what's truly amazing is that we don't see that sort of thing a whole lot coming from elected officials or their campaigns.

(25,841 posts)It's also possible that whoever did that isn't really very understanding of how the technology works. There are still a lot of people out there who don't fully understand it.
