Netanyahu tapped to try to form government.

The Israeli President has asked Netanyahu to try to form a new government.

I don't have a good understanding as to how the government works there, but this news just poured some lemon juice on my otherwise very nice day.

...the most seats to try to form a government first. Did Netanyahu's party end up winning the most seats? Last I heard it was too close to call and they were projected to lose by a seat. What has happened since?
