We've all done it: We've clicked Reply All on some email reply.

It happens. Sometimes it can be quite the disaster. You can't take it back, so you have to send another message apologizing and hoping people will understand.

Today, someone over at the White house sent out some talking points about Trump's "transcript" disaster. Whoever it was picked the wrong list and sent it not just to Republicans in Congress, but to Democrats, too. It was, you know, a mistake. So, they sent out another email "recalling" the one sent in error. That trick never works, though, so we've all read those talking points now.

And lame talking points they were, too. They're now fodder for the japes of the late night comedians and the mockery of the press.

Many mistakes are made. Some are just minor errors. Others, though, can be real disasters. This was one of those disasters.

i did send some financial information out by mistake once. it never happened again.

this is really indicative of the quality of help trump manages to keep in the WH. since the only prerequisite is allegiance to trump, they've ended up with a bunch of inepts.

near our home. One day, our fax machine started printing, page after page. It went on for a long time and was quickly using up the roll of thermal paper in the machine.

So, I went over to look at what was being faxed. Well it was a completed loan application and a contract to purchase a house. I could see on the cover sheet that whoever sent it had transposed two of the numbers, sending it to our fax machine, instead of another fax machine at a real estate office.

So, I got on the phone and called the real estate office and asked for the person's name on the cover sheet. I explained what had happened. The guy got really angry and told me I was not allowed to look at the documents. "They're CONFIDENTIAL," he said.

I laughed at him. "Maybe you should let the person who sent it know to check their dialing, then." Anyhow, the guy then said, "Drive those papers immediately over to our offices!" An officious sort of person, it seemed to me. I said, "No thanks. I'm busy. But, I'll have them for you here if you want to drive over and pick them up."

So, five minutes later, Mr. Officious stormed into our office suite, demanding the papers. So, I handed him the rolled up thermal printouts. "Could you have at least cut them into indvidual pages?," he asked. That ended my patience with him. I said. "Here. Now get out!"

Later that day, he called my office and told me that I needed to change my fax number, because it was too close to his. I asked, "How long have you been in business in town?" 'Two years," he said. "Well," I countered, "I've had this fax number for eight years. I won't be changing it, thanks."

to be that obnoxious when really you were the injured party.

I clicked on the wrong name that dropped down. it was really pretty mortifying, but i learned from it. I generally don't hit send before re-reading the email and checking the recipients.

no doubt the nincompoops at the WH are under constant pressure. i don't feel sorry for them though; they chose to work for him. i can only imagine where he gets them, probably donors' wayward children.

And the message of my mistaken reply/intended forward was that the recipient could "go Cheney herself."
