on my sons car. Ran fine then quit. Checked again and it was out of time. Went through process again same result. After further analysis found several teeth that were hollow had air where rubber should be. So when it was loaded they would collapse.

My first experience with a timing belt was when the one on my Ford Escort broke, bending several valves and costing me that car. I didn't know it had a timing belt that needed replacement at 60,000 miles. At 63,000 miles, it broke. Live and learn.
