People watch Faux 24/7 not for information, but because it reinforces their world-view, telling them that their prejudices are supported by the facts. If/when the truth comes crashing down, it won’t change their minds (because these ideas were already in their minds before Faux came along and told them they were right to think that way; therefore, admitting Faux was wrong would be admitting they themselves were wrong first). Never gonna happen…instead, they’ll buy into the conspiracy theory that “dark forces”/the Deep State fooled everyone else with lies, resulting in the truth being suppressed once again.
