or some other force must have heard the conversation?
Don't know why the press is taking the transcript as sacrosanct. But trump would never in a zillion years include such incriminating pieces unless he knew full well someone could dispute.
Ergo, he's seen the WB complaint and composed around it.
Why are there zero disclaimers in press? It's very very important that it's posted as "one side"!

And once again, Trump and company are hiding evidence that by law must be provided.

(10,170 posts)Federal documents require originator signatures to be authentic. Group ID's and vague descriptions of the recorder are insufficient. And it's funny how all the memo is in Trumps 6th grade vocabulary in stunted sentence format.
It's one big fraud brought to you by the stupidest psychopath in the world.

(42,770 posts)It could possibly be? (Fake transcript). Them WB comes in and tells a lesser story? That would actually be brilliant. Not in Trump's wheelhouse.

It doesn't get much dumber than that.

(10,170 posts)You can't figure out what sounds innocuous to others. And Trump never takes anyone else's advice.
Also he thinks the Dems will continue to nothing to him so what if he used a little blackmail on the Ukraine president.

(53,778 posts)He's just so stupid he thought there was nothing wrong with the conversation. He's been in office almost three years and still has no idea that he can't bully and extort and lie like he did in his failed business career.
The stuff in the released non-transcript was bad so imagine what's in the actual whistleblower report. He actually thought that cherry-picked, non-transcript info exonerated him, that it was a "beautiful" conversation.
It was reported however that the actual conversation was 30 minutes long but the released non-transcript words would take 11 minutes to say in a conversation. That means 19 minutes of material was left out. That stuff must be really troubling.
Next! Impeach this dumb MFer. He's too stupid to be president.

(42,770 posts)What is wrong and what isn't. Given. Therefore..he spilled things that he shouldn't. ( Repukes saying that too).
Yet whoever took notes would have known and anyone around when he was composing this non-transcript including Barr would have known.
The sub-story should definitely be the composition of this transcript.

(53,778 posts)the info that was made public but trump overruled them. Let's all bow to his infinite wisdom , and thank God he decided what to release because of it the dam broke and now a majority of House Dems (218) have come out for impeachment and it can be passed without any repug support.
Remember Madame Speaker a few weeks back after the Mueller report and she was under fire to pull the trigger on impeachment? She said then as she continued to protect her red state Dems, that "trump will self-impeach."
He did by choosing to release that info, and let's not forget his breaking of the law by not letting the whistle blower report get forwarded to Congress, he did indeed self-impeach and Madame Speaker opened the floodgates of hell upon his dumb ass, showing how a boss operates.

(42,770 posts)Any truth whatsoever. No one knows that!!! Remember the former legitimate transcriber? She said there was no semblance of legitimate record keeping in the trump WH. And what does NP have to do with that??? Nothing. Convince me otherwise.
brush
(53,778 posts)He released it and it's extremely damaging, He engaged in extortion against the president of Ukraine and foolishly thought admitting it was a "beautiful" conversation and not damaging to him. Everyone else with a function brain knew immediately that the info did not exonerate him like he claimed it would. The man has lsearned nothing about what is and what is not appropriate in presidential behavior.
And it has now come out that the actual whistle blower report is much worse.

This is from a repug source so you know it's bad if they're admitting it's worse than what's already been released.
Laura PourMeADrink
(42,770 posts)much attention. So, the transcript could be complete fiction. Yet Trump released it thinking that it was A-Ok.. And, even though it could be fictional and incriminating, it's likely not as bad as what really happened?
Holy crap...none of this makes sense. We are in some kind of twighlight zone.

(53,778 posts)actually so bad it's a roadmap to impeachment, and the whistle blower report is said to be much worse.

(7,813 posts)ignorance, arrogance, lack of understanding, deceit, stories of epa reports being buried, the fake Mueller summary, and sheer number of lies he tells every day...any report originating from his administration has to be met FIRST with the assumption that it's fake until proven otherwise. I don't know why media doesn't start any analysis with '...of course he lies more than he tells the truth, but let's see if there's any reason to think this is accurate...'
Dan Rather fell for a fake memo...it's in their playbook, has been for years. And the information in the memo was true and validated by the author...but the memo was not original so somehow that meant Bush was rehabilitated and Rather was corrupt.
Win at all costs. Ends justify the means.
So we definitely should be suspicious of everything Trump AND THE GOP offer up. (And rule #1 when dealing with gop: if they admit to anything it's because the truth is much worse).

We now have a majority of House Dems favoring impeachment (218) so we can move forward without any repug support. Madame Speaker know just when to spring into action.

(42,770 posts)Phoneyed up one had way too much detail to be based on recollection and notes alone. Even the way it was written. Like a real script. If from notes you would say, then the President made a comment about X. Now it makes sense - they were amending the real transcript. What I don't get now is surprised he even kept a transcript at all.
