A slightly different translation of the Trump-Zelensky call (if true, it could change things!)
Here's an early look at an excerpt from the "unredacted" transcript of the conversation between Trump and Zelensky. It was provided to us after having been vetted for accuracy by William Barr, Mick Mulvaney, and Kellyanne Conway:
Zelensky: Mr Trump, you are the greatest President America has ever had. You are the greatest statesman the world has ever known. I understand that your electoral victory was the largest in history, and the attendance at your inauguration was attended by more people than live in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut combined.
Your enemies like Biden (feh), Warren (ptui), and Pelosi (blech) are as nothing before your greatness. Women want to be with you, men want to be you, and animals wish to learn to talk so that they might hang out with you.

Meanwhile, the NYT is reporting tonight that much of Zelensky’s statement appears to have been plagiarized from the May 1963 issue of Mad Magazine.
