I'm predicting his exit will be within 2 months.

(5,812 posts)IMO, the Orange Asshole will hold on through the 2020 election and try and make the case that he was defrauded out of his rightful "win" and completely ignore all of the scandal connected with the Ukraine.

(69,803 posts)they may fake a stroke, so that he gets an mri that proves there is no there there.
or they could cite some other symptoms and take the health exit.
but that mri will come in handy.

(70,281 posts)... are going to have to dump Trump. He is a cancer to the GOP. Or I might be wrong.

(2,061 posts)The dam of information is breaking. The documents these committees are getting will be huge. His family will be implicated as well. Im guessing he will resign when Ivanka gets her subpoena. She seems to be one of the only things in this world he cares about outside of himself, power and money.

(24,647 posts)MIGHT strong arm him into resigning. I'll believe it when I see it, but it's seeming more plausible every passing hour. But that's the only way he'd go. He certainly is not capable of reaching that decision or executing it on his own.

(6,745 posts)It will be a wonderful sight seeing him with his little hands, his long tie dragging behind him, the horrible, awful squatters in tow making a run for the helicopter. Hope New York gives him a very unwelcome welcome.

(31,316 posts)Romney will step in to the Republican primary. Madame Speaker will be sworn in by January as POTUS.

(1,956 posts)At some point - and it will be soon - the GOP realizes that if Trump is allowed to get away with this, then the next Democrat President would have precedent to break the law in any way he/she sees fit. Now, not that I expect the next Democrat President to do so(or the Republican for that matter), they will have to follow along their tired mantra of (R) good, (D) bad and take the position that a "lawless Democrat" POTUS would take their guns, make their daughters get abortions, ban gasoline and other stupidity. The ones that have too much Russian money in their pocket(McCarthy, Nunes) or have been blackmailed(Graham) will hold out longer, but the others who are either at the end of their career or were "never Trump moralists" like Romney will back resignation easily.
Keep in mind too - if Trump resigns, then Bill Clinton remains the last POTUS to be impeached - and that is important to the GOP that the "other side" had the last impeached President.
He will be forced out. The man that tried to rig the election(again) can't be allowed to run.

(4,662 posts)that at some point he'll suffer some kind of breakdown (either real or strong-armed by the GOP) and be bundled off somewhere for treatment. Pence takes over as acting pres. It might not stop impeachment but it will throw everything into confusion and cause delays.

If Biden is the nominee Trump will push this Biden crap up until election day
Getting the vote out is just as urgent now as it was before this scandal broke
