to contemplate the knowledge that Trump is finally getting his come-uppance. He is a morality drama for the ages. Generations from now (assuming humans survive climate change), the perfidy of corrupt power and effects of stupid politicians will be taught and analyzed and sermonized. Libraries will have bookshelves full of memoirs and masters theses on Donald Trump. None of them flattering.

I stick mostly to my red French wines (Pomerol and Saint Emilion AOC's ie. appellation d'origine contrôlée FTW ) and funky imperial stouts and other heavy beers, my wife is more of a gin head and hates most of my dark as 1000 nights beers, lol

she is more into hazy NEIPA's and lambics/gueuze, saisons, etc etc, which are much more sessionable usually, as they are about half the alcohol of my 12% to 17% ABV monsters

always nice to blur the lines and find an imperial stout aged in scotch barrels

The base beer is our Parabola and matured for three months in Single malt Scotch barrels from the Distillery Ardbeg. This distillery is located in the Islay Region of Scotland, which is known to produce some of the world’s best high peat Scotch. The Ardbeg 10 year old was voted “2008 Whisky of the Year” in Jim Murrays book “The Whisky Bible”.

Nose: Upfront there is an exceptional depth and balance with a seductive mix of toffee and chocolate sweetness alongside cinnamon and medicinal phenols. As the beer warms slightly it is followed by citrus and floral notes of white wines evident as melon and overripe pear.

Taste: An initial clean sweetness then briefly comes into play a mouthfeel of deep peat notes, sea salt, smoked fish, tobacco smoke and strong espresso coffee.

Finish: Lasting with a seaside campfire smoke.
