Californians Appear Even Less Inclined to Support Trump Next Year than in 2016 When He Lost the State by 30 Points
by Mark DiCamillo, Director,Berkeley IGS Poll(c) 415-602-5594California has never been a Donald Trump stronghold and the results of the latest Berkeley IGS Pollsuggest that his standing with voters in this statemay be moving even lower.
When asked ifthey are intendingto voteto re-elect Trump next year, just 29% of the states likely voterssay theyare inclined to do so, while 67% are not. This 38-percentage point deficit is eight points greater than the historic 30-point defeatthat Trump suffered at the hands of DemocratHillary Clinton in Californiain the 2016 presidentialelection.

(8,419 posts)And it is not good for the Country overall.
I grew up in West Phoenix. Moved to OC after college. Now Maricopa County was full of the ignorant/racist republicans. OC had a similar Repub advantage when I moved here. But it seemed to be less of the ignorant/racist ones. So now the OC turned blue. Perhaps Maricopa County will flip in 2020, but still more likely to flip back
Here is where it gets a bit bad. Im noticing much less compassion for repukes. Especially in myself. Repubs bitch about CA, get the F out. I10 or I40 east asshole.
Now if I find out they are still a trumpanze, I dont care.

(36,745 posts)Once it gets into the teens, then cons in CA will have to consider breaking away from the Repuke party. They will have to form a independent center right party to stay competitive...or they are politically dead. Once that break happens, it will be another major step toward CA independence.
