Majority of Americans now support impeachment

If President Donald Trump suspended military aid to Ukraine in order to incentivize the country’s officials to investigate his political rival, Joe Biden, and his son, would you support or oppose impeachment?

55% of Americans strongly or somewhat support impeachment. This includes 32% of Republicans.

The poll was taken two days ago before all the documents came to light.

...and comes with the caveat that it has to be proven that there was a “quid pro quo,” which Trump’s defenders are loudly denying. No idea from that poll as to how many of those answering “yes” also believe that has been proven yet.

To be fair, there are also other polls from today showing increasing support for an impeachment inquiry, but that doesn’t mean they’re convinced that impeachment is necessary at this time.
