What is so deeply depressing about this complaint is the depth of Trump's corruption and how hard he and Giuliani worked to get the Ukrainians to get dirt on the Bidens. It was a full on plot. They forged ahead with it with determination.
The phone call, the cover up with the classified server, the lies, Trump's belief in conspiracy theories, the sidelining of the U.S. ambassador because she was in the way of their scheme, all of it is just sickening.
Trump can not remain in the presidency. And the cabal around him needs to be removed from their positions of power. They all belong in prison.

(51,590 posts)We already know about Dreamers, people in need of medical care, immigrant children, minorities, the environment and endangered species, etc. who are suffering or have died because of his behavior. He stole the election and is destroying the people and country. The worst possible punishment is too good for him and his accomplices and enablers.

looks like the details are now being revealed in their plot in Ukraine ...
Karma's a bitch... and an extremely first rate and fine one, it seems...

(82,849 posts)Everything is a racket for him, whether it's Trump University (I wonder, did his $25 million check ever clear?) or Celebrity Apprentice or playing golf. He cheats right out in the open, daring people to call him on it. When they do, he tries to play it off as a joke, but if someone doesn't just let it go, he goes ballistic. There are no shades, everything is black (you're against me) or white (you worship the ground I walk on).
This attitude doesn't translate to the work of government, which is by nature multi-faceted, and you don't get what you want free and clear every time. If you want A, you often have to give up B or compromise on C or settle for less than you want on D. But Trump wants A all the time, and if you don't give it to him, he throws a tantrum.

There was another conspiracy theory he bought into but I can't remember what it was right now.
Trump doesn't care how much taxpayer money he spends as long as he figures he can reap some personal gain.

(10,721 posts)Many questions:
What will Volker tell Congress? What, if anything, will Pompeo and other State Department officials tell Congress? What, if anything, will Barr tell Congress? What will the whistleblower (or any of the dozen witnesses referenced) say to Congress that we don't already know? If Brechbuhl did listen to the call, why is the State Department denying that he did? What did Pence discuss with Ukrainian officials? What all did Atkinson tell the House and the Senate? Regarding the 3 former officials that reportedly told the Washington Post about comments Trump made to those Russian officials in 2017, what else do they have to say and will any of them say it publicly? Will Democrats get their hands on the server?
