If pence becomes president, will he try to be Trump light?

Will he tweet?
Keep terrorizing immigrants?
Keep pushing for the wall?

Or will he try to blend into the woodwork and disappear until he can get out?

Or maybe start his campaign for next November?

1. I was wondering much the same. Are Trump's policies his? Who even knows!

I think he'll just try to pretend to be The Most Stable And Normal And Nicest President Ever and promise that he'll keep the economy going strong and keep America on track to be Great Again (little nod to the MAGA contingent)... UGH.

He may start mouthing off about "religious freedom" to gin up teavangelicals and he'll talk about border security without explicitly promising to finish the wall exactly as Trump saw it.

It won't be anything like this, but he will still be a massive threat to getting any meaningful progress done for this country in our lifetimes. Healthcare, campaign finance, inequality, education, etc.

And he would not look for an off-ramp. Once he's in the big chair he would try to keep it.

Also, all religions or lack there of will be widely looked down on and can suffer harsh persecution. Unless it is his religion.

A VP taking over an administration in disgrace is a toothless tiger. No power, no influence.
See Jerry Ford. An actually honorable man who became a national punchline

The man has no solid beliefs that he isn't willing to put on hold for power.

Mother would drive around the new caged in state using a megaphone to minister to them.

I hate her even more than her hypocritical Trump arse kissing husband.

If Trump resigns or is removed, I think Pence is too dirty by association to do much. He'll be mostly quiet. If the VP spot is filled, it will be by a moderate, since the House will need to confirm.

Republicans will be busy trying to get an electable candidate, and will not want any of Pence's extremist views to call away attention.

He'll lie low in the hope that he gets out free and isn't next after Trump since I strongly suspect there's enough dirt on him to take him out too. IME someone like Pious Pence, especially one so willing to kiss Trump's ass, is almost is hiding a mountain of stinky manure behind him.

He’s going to get off Scott free and we won’t see why he’s so scared of his taxes being released.
I know he’s being investigated by ny too but he’s used to that and can probably wriggle out of it.

He’s going to get away with all his crimes and will remain a loud voice for his criminal policies even if he’s thrown out of office.

terrifying brand of bland, vicious, evil.

His goal is theocracy. Pure and Simple. Run by white, excessively religious men.

support, and by far most of the right is very disturbed and embarrassed by Trump's implacable sinning. He'll make some pretense of carrying on Trump's "legacy" but in an entirely different style. Expect a revving up of that giant sucking sound. Pence sees serving the very wealthy as part of serving God.

If he's not somehow taken down. Guessing McConnell would throw every Republican senator on his sword before he'd let Pelosi become president, even if only for a year.

He is not far removed from this complaint.
However, I believe if allowed, Pence will be a different ruler. Instead of a kleptocratic/oligarchic government, we will have some sort of theocratic/oligarchic government. Religious persecution on steroids. Bring back the Muslim ban etc. That's my view of Pence.
