"Mrs. Giuliani says she had no choice but to take him to court, to prove what he is actually worth financially and to get what she believes she is fairly entitled to."
This is from an 9/13/19 article in the NYT.
It is beyond me why either party in this case would have an interest in having all of this done publicly, Justice Michael Katz said at an appearance last year in State Supreme Court in Manhattan. Settling privately, he advised, would treat their relationship and marriage with more respect than divulging all our dirty laundry out for public consumption.
The article goes on to say:
A primary issue is Mr. Giulianis current income. His wife believes that Mr. Giuliani left his law firm, Greenberg Traurig, in 2018, a month after the divorce was filed, and chose to work for President Trump pro bono in order to reduce any future alimony.
Mr. Giuliani earned $7.9 million in 2016 and $9.5 million in 2017, funding the couples roughly $230,000 a month lifestyle, according to Mrs. Giulianis lawyers. In 2018, the year he began working for the president, Mr. Giulianis earnings dipped to $6.8 million, and he has suggested that this years income will be well below that.
I didn't want to cite too much of the article. Here is the link:

(32,328 posts)This is the reason why Rudy works for Chump for free. He's showing as little income as possible, in part because of his upcoming divorce settlement. I'm sure his government sponsored trips overseas have given him opportunities to stash money in out-of-the-way places like Crete, Switzerland, Spain, etc. where the ex-wife's lawyers will never find it.
