This keeps bugging me. It just seems they gave it up without a bit of protest and that doesn't make sense to me.

(3,052 posts)That exists on the private server is sooooo much worse
And there may be a lot more stuff to uncover?

(23,003 posts)Like it would be a shame if Russia was to invade and you didn't have sufficient ammo/equipment to stop them. I agree this was only released to hide the much worse and more traitorous things in the actual transcript.

(11,584 posts)It makes no sense given the lengths they go in every other area to obstruct. It was either a HUGE blunder or we are missing the game. Even if its heavily redacted and the actual convo was much worse, which is likely, the effect of this "transcript" that was released was to completely undermine all the republican talking points on the whistleblower. They looked like morons in the hearing talking about how it was all unreliable 2nd hand info precisely because everyone had read the transcript THEY released verifying most of what the whistleblower claimed just hours earlier.

(14,784 posts)he's a giant fucking moron who doesn't know enough about the duties of his office to know the transcript/notes/summary shows grave misconduct as well as blatantly illegal behavior.
Trump thought he could cut the legs out from underneath the Dems criticism of "what is he hiding" by not hiding it. He completely misjudged how the media would react, because he completely misjudged what he had or hadn't done wrong.
