Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsRick Wilson on "The Last Word" with Lawrence O'Donnell tonight made me laugh.
The panel was discussing the crashing silence on the part of republicans in the wake of the Ukraine clusterfuck and O'Donnell remarked that he thought it was telling that none of the gop House Intel members even attempted to defend the contents of the call but defaulted to their usual childish insults and attacks. Wilson responded, "We've moved from '73 to '74 where republicans in '73 were screaming all day that it was a conspiracy by the liberal news media and in '74 they hit the brakes...the sense in republican circles, the deadly silence of mitch mcconnell is a very telling moment. And the fact that you don't have the usual conspiracy boobs running around gym jordan, matt gaetz and fredo nunes all these kooks screaming with their hair on fire. They recognize this isn't echoes of a report of rumors from the Steele Dossier. This is the president admitting he made this ask and giving out the transcript has opened up the gates of hell...[trump] acted like a whipped dog. That's not how a president acts, that's how a traitor acts..."

(22,670 posts)Maybe it'll sink in soon, that Donald J. Trump and everyone in his circle are traitors to the United States of America.
They better hope we don't apply the olden days rules to how we handle spies and traitors, to coin Donald J. Trump's own words.

(33,345 posts)They've all pretended to be patriots while betraying the U.S., so, yeah, they're traitors.
I think Don the Con is also guilty of treason. There may be others who gave aid and comfort to enemies of the United States.

(51,554 posts)I mean, how much more did people need than that Trump changed the Republican platform at the RNC convention to cut out lethal aid for the Ukraine, leaving them defenseless against Russia.
