concerned about their interference in our elections. That's a statement that could only come from the mouth of a traitor and a coward, and should be a separate article of impeachment all on its own. From here forward he should be known as Benedict Donald, and placed beside Benedict Arnold in our history book's, found in the index of those books under "cowards".

(115,280 posts)Quisling isn't part of our national history but the analogy is closer than Arnold. Vidkun Quisling was a Norwegian politician whom the Nazis installed as a puppet prime minister after they seized control of Norway during WWII. His name has become synonymous with "traitor," more specifically, a traitor who collaborates with an enemy force occupying their country. That's exactly what Trump is.

(8,885 posts)Of all the things I have seen him do, this is, in the rawest sense, the most despicable, because it is in direct conflict with his oath. That statement seems to me to be an instant disqualifier for him to continue in office even another day.
We should drive this statement into the ground until he is either impeached and convicted, or voted out in 2020.
