(16,254 posts)It seems that when we have a highly corrosive situation with our POTUS, the best toons come out.
They aren't disappointing us.

(3,524 posts)I was so happy to learn Berkeley Breathed had brought back Bloom County. One of my all-time favorites, right up there with The Far Side and Calvin & Hobbes. I have a two-book BC collection of his newer cartoons that I ordered online. Perfect winter reading.

The website for cartoonist Gary Larson's The Far Side has been updated with a new cartoon and message: "Uncommon, unreal, and (soon-to-be) unfrozen. A new online era of The Far Side is coming!"
The website is run by Andrew McMeel Universal, The Far Side's syndicate partner since 1985. Larson's The Far Side ran in newspapers from January 1, 1980 to January 1, 1995 when the cartoonist publicly retired. Since then, Larson has published work intermittently including a cover for The New Yorker.
Andrews McMeel Univeral has not responded to inquiries from Newsarama about this change to the site.

(3,524 posts)Good news indeed. It will be like having an old friend back. I still quote the "Blah blah blah Ginger blah blah" cartoon to this day
Though, I admit I'd rather it be coming back in the comics page of my local paper. I still enjoy reading that page, with Mutts, Doonesbury, Brewster Rockit and Dilbert amongst my favorites. It's sad that that activity likely won't be happening for much longer.

(14,951 posts)Pence, all the (semi-acting) cabinet, all the senate and house (r)epuglicons.
Would make a great display for future generations in a chamber-of-horrors.
