(715 posts)California. It was HOT AS HELL, (think "AFRICA HOT!!) through Thursday then the temps fell by somewhere around 30+ degrees. It began to Blow, with storm systems that we NORMALLY don't get until mid to late October. It was breezy & QUITE chilly most of today and we were told that we should be getting showers. HOWEVER, right around 5:30, the THUNDERSTORM that was coming toward us started to produce DAMAGING hail, (normal hail around these parts are about the size of a pea to a garbanzo bean).
All of a sudden, my cell started to beep & the message was a tornado warning was in place & we were told to take shelter...IMMEDIATELY!! Turns out a tornado was ON THE GROUND in Davis, (NOT fa from me at all. I live on the extreme north Western part of Sac county- about 10 miles south/southeast of Woodland, (Yolo). Woodland has SEVERE street flooding, where people are using canoes to get around. & oh yeah, HEAVY snow fall above 5K feet....
This is NOT NORMAL! THIS IS NOT NORMAL AT ALL!!! WHAT THE ACTUAL F*ck?!!
low & behold...
