Jeb Bush pines for the days of civility

Former Democratic President Bill Clinton and former Republican Florida Gov. Jeb Bush are pining for the days when the two parties worked together.

The two appeared together to talk about strengthening America’s commitment to education on Friday at the University of New England.

Partnering with the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, the university used the 30th anniversary of the late President George H.W. Bush’s 1989 Education Summit as the jumping off point for the discussion.

Clinton and Bush also spoke of the elder Bush’s “kinder, gentler” brand of politics during an era of bipartisan achievements.

Florida's "Big Sparky" electric chair vs. Texas' lethal injections, at the time.

Dubya even went as far as to mock a woman, Karla Faye Tucker, who was due to be executed by mimicking her as she pled for her life. He refused her plea to block her execution.

You may recall "Big Sparky" the Florida electric chair blew blue flames above the head of one prisoner they executed. A lot of people seemed delighted because the man had committed a very cruel murder.

Their careers as governors brought out all the sadistic a-holes from under their rocks to cheer their execution records.

Then he should have let Al Gore become president, like the people of his state wanted him to.
It would have been easy enough.

Dick Cheney got us Iraq and electronic voting machines. That got us Roberts, Alito and Citizens United. That got us McTurtle and Trump, and that got us to where we are now.

Jeb didn't see any of that coming when he helped steal Florida for his brother nineteen years ago? Sheesh, and they called HIM the "smart one."

He supported his brother as he destroyed this country. And now he stands around like a coward instead of speaking out against Trump.

When rioters wore Brooks Brothers and Dockers.

rethugs embraced the incivility of talk radio, Faux Noise, and newspapers like The Washington Times. Now that their noses are being rubbed in their own creations, they whine about civility.

News flash, a-holes: the time for civility should have been considered when YOU elected Newt Gingrich speaker of the house. Nobody forced you and yours to follow his list of phrases to use against opponents.

probably back to before there was an "America" to be civil in.

But in Jebbie's defense, I'm sure he longs for the days of feigned civility, it makes it so much easier to get away with fleecing the rubes. What they hate about Trump is that he let it all out into the open.

At this point, we will accept nothing short of your extinction. And before you freak out and say we're all coming to kill you, all I mean is we will wait and work for the day that demographically you are irrelevant. And that day is coming, sooner than you think.
