Election forecaster says impeachment effort will help democrats

In an article at "The Hill", well-known election forecaster Allan Lichtman writes that the impeachment process will help democrats in the 2020 elections.

Here is a quote:
Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, who demonstrates fidelity to the law, not McConnell or Vice President Mike Pence, would preside. House designated managers would point an accusing finger at the president through public statements, live testimony, and documentary evidence. They would cross examine witnesses for the president and compel his lawyers to present real arguments and evidence

STILL doesn't understand the difference between being impeached for lying about a consensual blowjob (distasteful, wrong and as hurtful to his family as that was) and being impeached for treason among other "high crimes and misdemeanors."

Most of the American people understood the difference then. They will understand the difference now, so long as it is presented to them properly. I wish that we could depend on our M$M, but ....

In fact, as I recall, many people believed that Al Gore's choice of Joe Lieberman as a running mate in 2000 hurt him more than it helped him because Lieberman had been the first "prominent" Democrat to criticize Clinton for his judgment in the Lewinsky matter. While "Holy Joe" may have been technically correct and at least did vote AGAINST impeachment, Gore's decision rankled a lot. IMO, there were much better options. But Gore disappointed in this respect and, likely at least in part as a result of Joe's urging, did not run as good a campaign as he could have. The rest is history.

Whatever his personal failings, Clinton remained a very popular President - and still remains a popular ex-President.
