Chuck Todd allow these lies to go by??? This is exactly NOT what the Mueller Report said!
This is MSNBC. It is supposed to be a fact filled news organization. What I just watched was Fox news bullshit!
MSNBC needs to be held accountable for the bullshit it is allowing on its shows.

(31,987 posts)The report is online so it would be easy to link to that if it were true.

When Nadler asked if it was true that under Department of Justice policy, the president could be prosecuted for obstruction of justice crimes after he leaves office, Mueller said that it was.
Mueller later affirmed the view to Colorado Republican Rep. Ken Buck that yes, Trump could be charged with obstruction of justice after leaving office.

(31,987 posts)And Mueller did not say it was. You are misrepresented what Mueller said. He said he could be charged not that he should be charged. He said he did not reach a conclusion on that. He did say there was no collusion and he did not reach a conclusion on obstruction.

(16,924 posts)If he thought tRUMP was innocent of Obstruction he (Mueller would have stated such. So to me that means POSSIBLE obstruction?

(13,974 posts)Are you saying he didnt obstruct justice? Most legal experts and congressional Dems assert that he did.

(8,922 posts)Back when I was still watching MTP I started to notice Hugh Hewitt was appearing frequently. Wasn't long after that I shut Chuck Todd off altogether. I think they must be good friends.
Hewitt generally starts showing up on cable TV M$M channels when Republicans go into damage control/high spin mode. Apparently he's right on schedule to start feeding the audience the latest Republican talking points they will use to lie about Trump's traitorous Ukraine behavior he was caught red handed in. Its lying time for the Republicans. Todd's shows are one of their favorite shows for delivering their lies on, where the lies go relatively unchallenged.
MSNBC is not a fact filled news organization. It is an infotainment organization. It depends on the shows and some of the show hosts, but much of infotainment is bullshit TV. Its primary objective is to sell advertising time. Over a third of every hour is devoted to corporate advertising, much for insurance and pharmaceutical ads.

That's exactly what he said ... Because facts, truth, democracy don't matter ... The important thing is who's going to become "stars" because of this.

(10,721 posts)Like so many members of the media, there is an apparent need to go out of one's way to act as though there is a debate when there isn't one, to act as though an expressed fact and a baseless opinion carry equal weight, to "teach the controversy" as evolution-deniers would argue.
And some are just right wing shills.
Part of the reason for this, I think, is that right wing attacks over the last 40+ years on the "liberal media" have been wildly successful. "Liberal media" is a household term. The GOP and its surrogates know how to frame things. They know how to shift the Overton Window in their favor (look no further than the fact that the likes of McCain and Kasich are called "moderate," which is an absolute joke when you look at their positions/votes). And they've faced insufficient pushback from those who think it's enough to simply "take the high ground."
