NYT opinion: Impeachment is an act of desperation

Why do they allow this drivel to be posted??

There will be no resignation, there will be no conviction in the Senate.
But there will be an election. And by focusing on their obsession with the person of Donald Trump, Democrats are giving up the opportunity to talk about wages, employment, the shrinking middle class or any of the other things that motivate normal voters. After two and a half years of hearing about Russia, Russia, Russia, there are vanishingly few swing voters who want to spend the next 14 months hearing about Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine.

Why are all these talking heads trying to second guess our Speaker? IMO, she calculated correctly and is striking at the opportune time. Its getting frustrating to see the naysayers.

That's inaccurate.

Publishing an opinion piece that presents a viewpoint differing from the editorial board's is normal practice.

Who is Mr. Buskirk you ask?

"Mr. Buskirk is the editor and publisher of the Journal American Greatness and a contributing opinion writer."

This is NOT the opinion of the NYT Editorial Board, and the OP should be updated to include the writer's name.

The WA Post and NYT has articles -- usually multiple articles -- every day criticizing Trump. I get them in my email every day. I would shudder to think what a paper has to do for you to call it "liberal".

You act like most Americans are smart enough to distinguish between an opinion piece and an editorial.

One of them is Christopher Buskirk. I've never seen an op-ed by him in the NYT previously. He's not a David Brooks.

"Mr. Buskirk is the editor and publisher of the Journal American Greatness and a contributing opinion writer."

Oh, shut up, I say politely to these "moderates". Come back when things aren't so extreme.
