Don the Con and the rest of them are going to learn

that the institutions will always catch the crooks even when we think they're taking too long.

The most important thing after they are removed is strengthening institutions to prevent this from happening again. This is one global mess with crooks in several countries.

They're the 5yo who thinks there's no worries.

Or the 20yo who thinks "I don't care about being 30"

Or the juvenile in a old-man's body who's brain has actually receded but still has that big-man persona.

Big Loser.

I hope we’re not disappointed. There have been crimes committed.

I think I agree that laws need to be written to prevent future abuses. Not just the things that may not have a statute, but things like the ability to use the department of justice to obstruct justice. Barr has had his finger in ways that might be probable cause for obstruction. Maybe the house or the senate should be able to force recusal in matters involving the president. That would make it harder to obstruct to start with.

Are emoluments against the law or just impeachable? I’d also like to force restitution of federal money that wound up in the presidents pocket.

The senate has the power to approve treaties. What is the regarding breaking treaties? Google says there hasn’t been a case decided. But can a law be passed? Would it be constitutional?

the white collar ones including many who attend the same schools, universities, religious institutions and a plethora of social clubs as those who have been charged with enforcing the rule of law.
Too many good old boys and girls have been given a pass for far too long. This includes, doctors, lawyers, judges policemen and women, politicians, bankers, accountants, real estate folks, computer folks - name an 'effin profession or trade.

Until we enforce the rule of law for all, this shit will continue. And there must be no special prisons for our friends.

That's a nice post

It's time for a global clean up.

6. Yes, further there are certain crooks who think they can get away with anything.

I don't know how even stronger institutions can stop those people. And unfortunately some do get away. (but not this one fortunately)

As hard as it gets, I wonder if he knows it ??? I watched the Nixon thing, at the end, he went kind of nuts...

..."I am not a crook." Nixon said. I heard he was talking to the walls at the end. (Heard this at a lecture by Woodward and Bernstein no less)

...I don't mind Trump talking to the walls, after he resigns. (maybe he won't, so they will impeach him)

7. I admire your optimism.

I have always been an optimist, one of the best lines a friend gave me on a b-day card was "If I could bottle your optimism I would become a millionaire, Happy Bday"...but having said that...so much has happened which has not suffered consequences and accountability, that my optimism has been put to a very hard test. This started during G.W. Bush, I was very optimistic that Obama would investigate Iraq, 9/11, etc. and made accountable those who were guilty of criminal actions, but then he came with his "We must move forward", then the creature and the "best people" in this administration who have gotten away with so much. So, I am going to stay calm and wait for the outcome, I don't want to get overexcited, I am just hoping for the best.

I am not a pessimist, at least not yet, but I have become more of a conservative in the "excitement department" when it comes to punishment for these crooks, too many times they have gotten away with crimes that should have been dealt with the full weight of the law, but didn't.

I hope you are right.
