to hear all the wonderful or horrible things he says (depending on their viewpoint).

Twitter is absolutely enabling this destructive behavior and until some body steps up to punish them or him for threats they will all be culpable when something happens. (yet still won't be held responsible)

The media shouldn't get to decide what's heard and what's not heard.

With that said, I abhor the messenger and the message. I'd prefer we win with a better messenger and message though, not through shutting down his platform.

Twitter is quite different from the traditional main stream media.
They have a policy that they often enforce to keep the rhetoric within certain boundaries. A lot of people get shut down every day, why should Trump be any different?
Allowing Trump to consistently violate those boundaries is reckless, and could result in violent action being taken by his followers. Some might argue it already has.
This could make Twitter criminally liable for allowing a call to violent action.

Twitter has a moral responsibility to take action here.

I tend to agree with that sentiment.

Though, I think it is better we get him spilling his thoughts in real time, like them or not. Of course, there is much more behind the scenes, but this is like the tip of his orange iceberg.

If he was banned, he would just blather on to the press or anyone listening and that would be reported on and we would still hear it.

So, yes, he should be banned for the content, as I think regular users would be. On the other hand, he is really putting his foot in his mouth and that's going to add fuel to his demise. He needs as much rope as he can get right now.

He is openly inciting murder of a witness.

I also think it's time for the FBI or the Washington DC police to arrest him and put that Justice Dept. memo claiming a president can't be arrested to the test.

Surely it must be argued that if the president were to murder someone in cold blood, or threaten a witness with murder, that is a crime that requires immediate intervention; impeachment is too slow. He needs to be behind bars for the safety of the witness and anyone else who may be afraid to come forward.

Threatening civil war also puts the American public at risk.

Is a felony. It is not a partisan issue but one of public safety. If Twitter wants blood on their hands that is their business but what kind of public image is that. Ban Trump for making terroristic threats. It should be a no brainer.

Remember the El Paso shooter used the exact same language as Trump before going on a killing rampage - language taken directly from Trump Tweets. (Clarifying my "blood on their hands" comment above).

tRump loves to break rules, traditions, and standards of behavior like an undisciplined child and does not care.

I would like to see Congress pass a law that prohibits use of social media for any official statement. All statements should be via paper issue or government web sites where public media can pick them up, or via press conferences or sit-down interviews (with requirements for balance).

Twitter, like Facebook, is a place designed for citizens to exchange their daily bullshit and not for public servants to conduct campaigns or issue statements that can have an impact on the entire planet.

Perhaps if enough Twitter subscribers complain regularly about his inflammatory rhetoric and/or threaten to cancel their accounts, something would change...
