I'm thinking no pardon from Pence since I'm sure he knows what that did to Gerald Ford's political future.
Of course this is assuming that Pence managed to stay clean through everything.

(7,947 posts)He will imply strongly -- "I can't make promises, but you know..." that he will pardon Trump if Trump resigns.
Then he won't. Trump will screech and holler, and Pence will incline that dignified head and shake his head sadly, and say something from the Bible.
And Trump then will release his flying monkey horde to destroy Pence.
In fact, I think in this scenario, Trump could decide to run against Pence if Pence becomes the nominee. Trump's nasty, and he knows he can probably get 20% of the vote as an independent.
The last time an angry/nasty GOPer ran third party and won about 20%... Bill Clinton won with a plurality, defeating the incumbent.
The Dem in 2020 will probably get most of the votes H Clinton got, and maybe a few more percent who are utterly disgusted with both Trump and Pence, so that would be a majority.
And very likely a mortally wounded GOP? Esp if the Trump family decide to have their own party and run Donnie Jr next, and then Ivanka.
