Speculation: When the monster directs state, or the military to do something unthinkable

will the federal employees refuse to follow the order?

Will they resign?

Will they try to tell congress???

In other words, when will we refuse to accept his orders as presidential, and ignore him???

I remember something like that happened during Watergate. The word was put out that if Nixon tried to shoot off a nuke or start a war, the military was to stand down and not obey.

I'm not saying the generals would stand up and loudly say no. They'd probably just quietly not do it. With Trump, that's probably a good tactic, because he'll be on to something else in 10 minutes.

With Nixon, there were a few cabinet officers and staffers who were quietly preparing for getting a crazy midnight call from Nixon. "Bomb Moscow!" or something. It was in the middle of the cold war, and before most of the nuclear pacts, so it really was dangerous-- he could have blown up the world. But he didn't, and if he did, supposedly the generals and the cabinet and the congressional leaders were quietly in agreement not to comply.

But Trump's cabinet has proven to be so utterly craven. If Rick Perry were told to tell Putin the locations of all our nuclear bombs (yes, terrifyingly, Rick Perry's in charge of that... and he didn't know that when he took the job, and the GOP Senate approved him), Perry would probably nod and say, "Whatever, boss. What's the address I should send the printouts?"

Scores of upper level leadership at the Pentagon have taken retirement rather than obey orders.

Repeatedly the twit tried to order the Pentagon to do various stupidity, and they've refused in every which way short of flat out public refusal.

And some of them have gone to Congress quiet like.... a few of the stories hitting the media without the source being named.

If the money from the Pentagon ever actually ends up building walls, I will be a little surprised. Not a lot, but at least a little.
