For a couple bucks, (literally like 2 dollars) you can become a star member and all the ads disappear. Definitely worth it!

12. The ad algorithms are based on things that are mentioned in a site. If the site frequently

mentions Trump, the Republican Party, or other GOP idiots, then the ads will relate to what the site seems to be interested in. The site owners don't choose the ads.

If you donate a few dollars to DU per year, the ads will disappear. Even $2 will do it, though it would be nice to donate more if you can afford to.

Do yourself a favor and search for Los Vegas, Vacations, Hawaii or other favorite places.

You'll get some nicer ads for awhile.
